Upside down

After three and a half weeks in the Netherlands, several dinner parties, visits, and two good-bye parties, we just managed to pack our bags (again) on Monday. Tuesday morning the alarm goes off at 5.30 am. That is really early, but we have got a long way to go. 6.30 the taxi is there to get us to the train station; so far so good. The train is on time and the check in is easy (except for the plastic bag malakie with liquids, a new Amsterdam airport rule). We arrive at Singapore and are going to have a shower. After all it is 6 am (although only just 11 pm in Amsterdam). Back to the plane for the trip to Brisbane. 8 more hours to go....

Finally Brisbane. The Ozzie people are just like we remember them - friendly and relaxed.
Just before we landed there was a thunderstorm but we were allright. We get to the apartement, which is really nice, drink one more wine and fall asleep. Next morning we get up at 5.30 (must be a jetlag), connect our laptop effortlessly to the internet, inform relatives we have arrived and walk to downtown Brisbane.
