Winter in Melbourne

Allright, it really is winter now. And what a nicer present for Peter's birthday than a skitrip. That is possible 'close by', only a 3 hour coachtrip, so just do-able for a day.

Rain is a regular feature now and I don't think there is another country that welcomes the rain as enthousiastically. The reservoirs (that should provide us with water next summer) are getting fuller. We are at 33% now, after a 26% low. We need at least 50% at the end of winter, so we still have some rain to go!

Peter did a test trip for work in the new Holden Ute. Very secret, the car had to wear a mask (bra), just like Zorro (well...). Inland looked quite different now: in summer it was all yellow, but now it has changed to green. Nice trip by the way - through all challenging dirt and bendy hill roads. Stopped for lunch in a small roadhouse.... (population 20). On the way the trip needs changing, because by now there is so much rain that whole areas are flooded. The weather here is all or nothing at all as well!
